Indian Delegation Exposes Pakistan at Global Forum: The Full Statement

The day started with paying homage to the bust of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Several meetings followed with officers of the Japanese government, members of the ruling party, and several think tanks.

The very first meeting set the right precedent when the Japanese government came out in full support of India’s fight against terrorism, and a big announcement was made by Japan Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya in the talks with the Indian delegation: “In this fight against terrorism, Japan stands with India,” a source said to CNN-News18.

In various meetings with think tanks, Sanjay Jha, chairman of the delegation, laid forth in absolute clarity India’s zero tolerance to terror and terrorism.

He explained to the intelligentsia that the Pahalgam terrorist attack had not really been an act of terrorism by India, but India had really retaliated against it, going against the Pakistan narrative of raising the nuclear weapons bogey, to include cyber attacks and digital warfare to spread fake news on Pakistan.

During the interaction, a member of one of the think tanks asked the visiting delegation why, in their opinion, India had neither maintained a stand in relation to the Russia-Ukraine war. The source stated that Khurshid intervened to correct those questioning him.

“It is not correct. India has never said that its Position is neutral. India has always maintained that they have only one position, and that position is that war is not a solution for everything, ” Khurshid said.

Another of the questions put forth by the intellectuals in the course of the meeting was what Operation Sindoor is and why that name was chosen. It was learnt from sources that BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi gave a detailed explanation in which she spoke on behalf of India.

“The ghastly attacks of Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pahalgam devastated the entire nation. The land where women applied vermilion on their parting as a holy sign of marriage. Due to the targeted massacre of male members, many women were left to be widowed. The government acted on this feeling and decided to name this operation Sindoor so it could avenge those daughters and wives who had lost their fathers and husbands. This is exactly what the logo of this operation depicts, showing a few grains of vermilion being scattered,” conveyed Sarangi.

This Jha-led delegation will be visiting other countries as well, including those with significant Muslim populations besides Korea and Singapore, such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Departing Wednesday morning, the setting of seven delegations onset their visits, and they spend the next two days in Japan before proceeding towards other countries.

Besides Jha, this delegation comprises former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Left MP John Britt Brittas, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, Hemang Joshi, Pradhan Barua, TMC General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee, and former Ambassador Mohan Kumar. The Panel will conclude its visits to various countries and return home on June 3.

If one may say, this very diplomatic statement was the one that crushed Pakistan’s narrative on the international platform and reinforced India’s steadfast position on counter-terrorism. The intervention served a dual purpose: refuting lies while also building India’s image as a nation committed to security and truth. The speech was lauded across the board, joining India with the preeminent voice in the global anti-terror discourse.
