IPL 2025, RR vs GT: At 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has set a historic record as the youngest man to score a hundred in Twenty20 cricket.
The Bihar-made batter, in turn, struck the second-fastest century in the history of the IPL 2025.
On Monday, April 28, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the record books by reverting a hundred at the quickest speed for a century in the Indian Premier League.
While representing the Rajasthan Royals during their chase of 210 against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Bihar batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored an incredible hundred runs off 35 balls.

Vaibhav also entered the record books as the youngest male cricketer to register a century in T20 Cricket (as per available data) and bettered the previous record held by the ex-Maharashtra batter Vijay Zol, who at age 18 became the youngest person to score a T20 hundred in 2013.
After completing his fifty in 17 balls, Vaibhav got a historic hundred after another 18-ball stretch on Monday. His 101 off 38 balls led the Rajasthan Royals to break their five-match losing streak by chasing down the target of 210 in just 15.5 overs against the Gujarat Titans.

Vaibhav hit a record 11 sixes and 7 fours in one of the most exhilarating performances of the IPL. The left-handed batsman was immediately in business in the very first over of the chase when he smashed Mohammed Siraj for a six.
Vaibhav took on bowlers the likes of Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan. Ironically, the hundred came for him with a six over mid-wicket against Rashid, one of the best in the T20 game.
11 SIXES, 7 BOUNDARIES!
Vaibhav swung with all his might and played the full flourish of his bat swing, sending 11 balls out of the park. He could hardly be concerned with the name of the bowler; he set himself to hit them big.
Clearing one leg out of the way, Vaibhav swung over the long-off, long-on, and mid-wicket stands. Unforgettable were his wristy flicks that sent few of the balls into the stands with disdain.
In one of the most audacious displays of aggression we have seen, Vaibhav threw big against Afghanistan’s Karim Janat to smash him for three sixes and three boundaries in a single over, accumulating 30 runs.
Vaibhav was later dismissed for 101 off 38 balls by Prasidh Krishna in the 12th over after leaving a couple of big marks on the game, stitching 166 runs – the highest opening stand for Rajasthan in the history of the IPL.
As all the players of the Gujarat Titans walked up to Vaibhav while he was returning to the pavilion following his dismissal, Rahul Dravid, the head coach of Rajasthan Royals, rose in a standing ovation from the dugout area, despite being in a wheelchair.
Vaibhav, who showed his skills in the domestic circuit last season, was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore. In only his third game for Rajasthan, the 14-year-old smashed a mindblowing century that will remain forever in our memories.
